Hosting a games night in support of the Galway Fringe Festival, they’ll be digging out all the classics for a night of good wholesome fun.

Scrabble, Jenga, Chess, Connect 4, Guess Who, Card games, Dice games…you name, they probably have it. I haven’t played some of them since my youth – a bit of a blast from the past there.

There will be a raffle on the night with prizes from local businesses as well as spot prizes for the lucky duck that wins the most games.

All funds will go to the Galway Fringe Festival which provides a platform for both emerging and established artists to showcase their work.

Taking place in July, last year saw the festival celebrate its ninth birthday. A standout event in the Galway cultural calendar, there were over 50 events in 15 venues across the city.

Hoping to continue building upon the successes of the previous year, the goal is to get the Galway Fringe Festival to the same level as other internationally renowned Fringe festivals.

Taking place downstairs on Wednesday 27th at 7pm. Tickets cost just €3 and can be gotten here or at the door.

I’d recommend grabbing some grub while you’re there too because everyone knows The Cellar serves up an unreal feed.
