Woohoo – This Irish Hotel Is Shortlisted For World Hotel of the Year 2018

Darragh Berry

This comes as absolutely no surprise to us.

Even the dogs on the street know how good of a hotel this spot is and we’re delighted that it’s finally getting the worldwide recognition it deserves.

It’s been named on the ‘Hot-list’ of one of the best hotels in the world for 2018 as well as being named one of the best new or reborn hotels in the world also.

We covered it when it reopened back in November 2017 and we were absolutely blown away by how incredible it looked.

Of course, we’re talking about Adare Manor in Limerick.

Virtuoso, a network of the best luxury travel agencies worldwide, is currently holding their Best of the Best awards and has shortlisted Adare Manor alongside these other hotels as the cream of the crop:

  • Berkeley, London, UK
  • Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel, St. Jean Cap Ferrat, France
  • One&Only Le Saint Geran, Post de Flacq, Mauritius
  • Royal Mansour Marrakech, Marrakech, Morocco

The winner will be announced in Las Vegas in August but it’s not the only Irish contingent in the mix.

That’s right, the Irish takeover continues in the best bar category because this Dublin pub is in the running for that category also.

Voting began on 28 May and will conclude until 12 June and the winners will be announced on 15 August.
