The Government is finalising plans for the reopening of society, with an official announcement by Micheál Martin expected at around 6pm this evening.
The plans including the reopening of pubs for outdoor services, the return of hairdressers and inter-county travel. As well as that, reopening dates for swimming pools and gyms are expected to be announced, as well as information on wedding receptions, outdoor gatherings and non-essential retail.
Below are the key dates that are being considered by Government after hearing recommendations from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET):
Pubs and restraurants:
Outdoor service from June 7
Hairdressers and barbers:
May 10
Inter-county travel

June 7
50 guests at a wedding ceremony
May 10 (capped at six guests for indoor reception and 15 guests for outdoor)
25 guests at wedding reception
June 7
Gyms and swimming pools
June 7
Three households meeting in private gardens
May 10 (indoors if vaccinated)
Indoor visits from one household
June 7
