She killed it.
Billie Eilish made her return to the Met Gala this year to celebrate Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty – and she wore an Irish designer.
The singer showed up at the star studded event in New York last night wearing a statement gown by Irish designer, Simone Rocha.
The gown was a custom lace, black dress made specifically for the ball by the Dublin native and was created by using repurposed fabric.

Billie paired the outfit with some stockings and a pair of hand beaded tulle gloves.
The songstress revealed to reporters on the carpet that she was honoured to be wearing a dress designed by Simone Rocha and she is one of her all time favourite designers.

This isn’t the first time she has stepped out in a dress by Simone; she wore another custom gown while she hosted Saturday Night Live back in 2021.
Speaking about the dress choice for Billie, a spokesperson for the brand wrote on Instagram: “Simone Rocha created a custom look in celebration of her talent & powerful femininity. Reflecting emotion, fragility, strength and femininity, the design evolved into a layered piece, revealing what lies beneath.
“Working in fragile tulle, edged with lace, and interpreting embellishment as armour, the design features existing signature Simone Rocha fabrics that were repurposed and patchworked.
“Featuring hand-appliqued found lace, tinsel cotton tweed, patchworked into a tapestry of memories, tied with black ribbons, and hand-embellished jet drips suspended from the body”.
