PIC: Doireann Garrihy Responds To The ‘Voice Note’ Scandal That Has Been Flying Around Ireland

If you haven’t heard the ‘voice notes’ about Doireann Garrihy and her boyfriend, Joe Melody yet, you’re in the wrong Whatsapp groups.

So, we’ll give you a brief synopsis if you’re feeling left out.

Voice notes were doing the rounds stating that Garrihy had “stolen” her current boyfriend off a girl named ‘Jane’.

Jane and Joe had allegedly been together for four years and were planning on building a house together and looked fairly serious – marriage material sort of stuff.

Doireann and Joe met at an event, ‘hit it off’ and then Joe allegedly started blowing off his girlfriend to meet with the presenter behind Jane’s back.

According to the voice note, Jane was a big fan of the presenter and kept wanting to meet her, and Joe maintained that he was telling the new Podge and Rodge host about their relationship.

The final straw was when Joe turned down the offer to go to an All-Ireland Semi-Final because he was “working on the farm” but Instagram stories showed him walking up the Sugarloaf with Garrihy.

Then, according to the note, Joe confessed that he and Garrihy had been kissing and it all came to blows when the pair arrived outside a gym and told Jane to keep quiet about the whole ordeal. Apparently.

Well, Garrihy has responded to the alleged scandal on her Instagram stories, showing an email by a girl named Jane that says:

“To whom it may concern,

“The voice notes implicating Joseph Melody, Doireann Garrihy and me are completely false.

“Although good friends, I have never had romantic involvement with Joseph Melody.

“Jane.”

She also added a note that read:

“To those who never questioned mine or Joseph’s honesty or integrity, thank you.”
