Post-bank holiday blues got you down?

While St Brigid throwing her cloak over February 6th and declaring it a bank holiday was a warmly welcomed surprise, the extra day off crept up on some of us unexpectedly.

If you’re on the aul 9-5 grind, you’ll probably be well used to meticulously mapping out your bank holidays for the year to ensure not even a second of extra time off is wasted. City breaks are locked in, camping bags packed up – it’s the only way to get through the year, let’s be honest.

Luckily, we’ve finally made it through what seemed like the longest January ever and the good news is that the bank holidays are in a fairly steady monthly supply between now and the summertime.

If you’re looking beyond February and trying to work out when to take the rest of your annual leave, the remaining bank holidays for 2023 are as follows:

  • Monday, February 6 – St Brigid’s Day
  • Friday, March 17 – Saint Patrick’s Day
  • Monday, April 10 – Easter Monday
  • Monday, May 1 – May Day
  • Monday, June 5 – June Bank Holiday
  • Monday, August 7 – August Bank Holiday
  • Monday, October 30 – October Bank Holiday
  • Monday, December 25 – Christmas Day

Looking up flights, Airbnbs and hotels is the perfect way to cure the post-Brigid blues, tbqh. You’ll be packing your bags in no time!
