PIC: ‘Regram’ Is The New Instagram Feature That Everyone Has Been Calling Out For

Darragh Berry

We have a feeling that Instagram’s newest feature will be a welcomed one among the social media community.

The photo-sharing service has created a new feature called ‘Regram’ which lets you share other people’s posts as part of your own story along with your own individual captions and commentary.

Tech Crunchhas said that this new option that is being tested by Insta will prove very popular if it’s eventually rolled out.

According to them, it is currently being tested with a small number of users and the feature is only available to use on Instagram updates that are both public and permanent.

If you’re one of the lucky few involved in the testing phase, you will notice a new button appear below public and permanent posts.

Pressing that button lets you embed that post into your own story. Before posting the update, they can move and resize the quoted update, and add stickers, emoji and witty comments. It’s essentially a more creative version of quote-retweeting.

Anyone looking at your new story can also tap on the post and be redirected back to the original story.

If successfully introduced, Instagram will also give people the chance to stop their stories from being shared by others.

An Instagram spokesperson told Tech Crunch that: “We’re always testing ways to make it easier to share any moment with friends on Instagram.”

Hopefully we get to see this introduced really soon.
