Smyths Toy Ireland are recalling a car racing game for children because the electric charger might be dangerous and could injure someone.

The Furious Challenger Road Racing Set has a track that you can lay out on the floor of any room so that two cars – a Mercedes Benz and Nissan GTR – can go head to head with children at the controls.

A message on their website reads: “Smyths Toys has been made aware of several incidents regarding the plug/charger on this toy.

“No injuries have been reported. The product was sold in the United Kingdom, Republic Of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

“Batch placed on the market from the 7th August 2017. The affected batch number is 1706.

“The batch code can be found on both the packaging and on the track itself.

“Consumers should take the recalled toy away from children. Please return this item to a Smyths Toys Superstore for the product to be inspected and a refund issued.

“Apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
