The SuperValu Christmas ad has landed

Tissues at the ready, people.

This years SuperValu Christmas ad dropped yesterday, and I’m not ashamed to say I shed a tear.

In fairness, they opted for the most tear-jerking theme of all – a child nursing an injured animal back to health.

Oh, and I should mention the injured animal in question is one of Santa’s reindeer, despite what any of the parents say.

In the ad we see Aoife discover injured reindeer Deermuid in her back garden. Aoife knows Deermuid needs to get better ASAP to fly back to Santa, so she puts him straight on a diet of water and carrots (obviously), and gives him plenty of encouragement.

Will Deermuid make it back to Santa in time for Christmas? You’ll have to watch and see.
