This Drogheda café are holding a food appeal every Friday in December

Katy Thornton

If you have any non-perishables that you’re not using, The Coffee Box in Drogheda wants them!

While this is an exciting time of year for many, it’s also incredibly difficult for others. As much as it’s about gifting and receiving, it’s also a time to give back to those less fortunate. The Coffee Box in Drogheda is holding a food appeal with that in mind, asking people to drop in non-perishables in support of their local charities.

Starting from today, and every Friday after in December, The Coffee Box will accept donations and get the food to where it needs to go. All you have to do is show up and donate what you can. We love this initiative, and think it is truly what Christmas is all about.

The Coffee Box opens from 7.30am to 6.30pm on Fridays, so there’s plenty of time to swing by and drop off some bits.
