If you’ve been trying to lose a few pounds lately but seem to be making zero progress, one unlikely change to your lifestyle could do the trick.
According to a new study, getting less sleep at night than you need can have an adverse effect on your weight – and a few extra hours can make all the difference.
The research, undertaken by the University Of Leeds, examined the sleeping patterns and calorie intake of 1,600 adults and one thing stood out in particular.
Those who slept six hours a night weighed more than those who slept for nine hours and their waiters were likely to be around three centimetres bigger.
Apparently we should all be aiming for nine hours every night to keep our bodies in peak condition – so now you have a good excuse for an early night!
