Apparently The Secret To Waking Up Earlier Is Simpler Than You Think

The snooze button on our alarm gets hit more times than a professional boxer - we're just never want the sweet sleepy dreams to end. 

Even if I'm waking up in a mad rush, I always check my phone first thing and do a few updates, catch up on emails etc.

The coffee gets brewed and sure lookit, maybe a sneaky bowl of porridge gets gobbled down before I start my day. Are you the same? If so, sorry to say but we're apparently in the wrong. 

An ex-US Navy Seal Jocko Willink told Business Insider that the secret to waking up earlier is literally to just GTFO of bed. 

"Don't think in the morning," Willink said. "That's a big mistake that people make. They wake up in the morning, and they start thinking.


He does his to-do list the night before (no mulling over his POA over breakfast), and has his clothes laid out ready to go.

He added: "Don't think. Just execute the plan. The plan is the alarm clock goes off, you get up, you go work out. Get some."

Ugh. Doesn't the man want to catch up on Instagram?
