Bank of Ireland customers around the country woke up shocked, annoyed and upset, as they realised that payment of their wages hadn’t been transferred to their bank accounts, as was previously expected.
The bank’s users took to Twitter to complain that they have not received certain payments in general in their accounts this morning.

Pull the finger out @bankofireland Will you investigate where are wages are! Did someone forget it was the shortest month of the year?

However, the bank’s official customer service took to Twitter to say “Payments can process throughout the day” and that complaints are “being investigated as a priority”.
We’ve checked with the team & all payments will be processed today. Apologies for any inconvenience, thanks ^NS
