This Irish Woman Is Walking From Cork To Dublin In A Protest March Today

An Irish woman will today continue her protest walk from Cork to Dublin in an effort to access medical cannabis for her daughter.

Vera Twomey’s daughter Eva suffers from a rare form of epilepsy called Dravet’s syndrome and has multiple seizures every day.

It is believed that cannabis-based medication could help ease Eva’s symptoms and Vera is calling on Health Minister Simon Harris to prescribe it “on compassionate grounds”.

This is the second time that Vera has undertaken the 260km journey in an attempt to highlight her daughter’s plight, with TD Gino Kelly joining her on this week’s protest march.
