Brian O’Driscoll Had Extra Reason To Celebrate Ireland’s Grand Slam Victory

Cheltenham 2018 has now come and gone and a lot of Irish punters would have won a decent amount of money if they chose to back our successful horses and jockeys over the course of the week.

The gambling fun didn’t stop there though for some of us. While former Grand Slam-winning Ireland captain Brian O’Driscoll may have retired from rugby back in 2014, he still has quite a good reason to celebrate the achievements of his 2018 successors at Twickenham on Paddy’s Day.

BOD took to Instagram to share a betting slip which shows that he placed €150 on Ireland to take home the Grand Slam before the Six Nations even started. With odds of 7/2, the former Leinster man can now collect a cool €675 which isn’t a bad day’s work at all.

Brian posted the pic along with the caption ‘the drinks are on me!’ but we suspect he’ll be taking his wife Amy Huberman out for dinner with this payout if he had any sense.
