As today is Thanksgiving across the pond, we thought we’d remind everyone just how much we owe to our American cousins.

Freedom fighting and baddy bashing since the 1800s.

3. Air Travel

Dublin to Cork in three quarters of an hour? Bless you, Wright Brothers.

4. Chicken Wings

So gloriously delicious. 

5. The Simpsons

The REAL first family.

6. Country Music

#Garthgate aside, give us a stetson and some line dancing and we’re laughin’.

7. Superbowl Sundays

Now an annual excuse to take a cold February Monday off work. Not that we know anything about American Football.

8. Beyoncé

Fierce good, so she is. 

9. Saved By The Bell

90s mornings would have never been the same without the zany antics of Zack Morris and the gang.

10. Barack Obama 

We’ll miss ya Bar 🙁

These bad boys will never not be in fashion.

We take our hats off to you, America. Y’all aren’t bad, leaving aside the political unrest and shoddy gun control, of course.
