Ever feel like you go to the same places to eat time and time again? Well then Restaurants Ireland is the app for you.
What is it? This app gives you the lowdown (menu, ratings and whether it does takeaway or not #crucial) on every restaurant hidden amongst the 32 counties and 40 shades of green.
Why is it so good? This is good news for you, as you can do your research before spending your hard earned cash. Winning.

3. Mixology
Ever wish you could whip up slick cocktails and swirl around bottles like in the movies? Listen up.
What is it? Mixology is an enormous database of drinks of close to 8,000 recipes and 1,300 ingredients, which makes it easy to find something to make based on what you already have at home, or what you’d like to stock your bar up with.

Yummly is another recipe discovery app that pairs up incredible food pictures with recipes from around the web.
What is it? Exactly what is says on the tin.
Why is it so good? You have the option to filter recipes by the ingredients you have at home, create different recipes, and even build shopping lists for the week based on the recipes you choose.

5. Tastemade
Tastemade is the ideal app for the food lover who’s also keen on travelling.
What is it? An app that connects you to a network of “Tastemakers” around the world, who guide you to the coolest places for food lovers, in 22 different cities.
Why is it so good? Because, you can also use the app to make your own videos during your travels and creates lists of the places you’ve been and want to see. Allowing the tastemaker community to grow.

Vivino is the life-saving wine app we’ve all been waiting for.
What is it? The app uses your phone’s camera to help you research wines while you’re perusing at the offy.
Why is it so good? All you have to do is take a snap of the wine in question and Vivino will shoot back a list of customer reviews, along with the average price of the bottle. You also have the option to make a profile to save wines you wish to try later and then add reviews of your own.
