With our busy lives and tendency for things to just fall out of our heads, it’s easy to forget that this Sunday June 18 is Father’s Day. 

Of course, you’ve nothing planned, have ye? Pups. Anyway, fear not for we’ve got the perfect selection of ideas to get your aul Da out of the gaff for the afternoon.

1. Flying experiences

2. Hot air balloon ride

One for all the family. Everyone has to muck in to get things set up and observing the Irish landscape from the slow pace of a hot air balloon is something you’ll all enjoy. Click here for more.

3. Track day in Mondello

If you auld lad is a speed junkie this is the perfect way for him to put the pedal to the floor. Something for him to brag to his mates about in the pub on Sunday night. Click here for details.

4. An old-fashioned Sunday drive

5. Go to the hurling 

Even if he’s only a casual observer of GAA, he’s sure to love a trip to Thurles to watch Waterford and Cork thump shite out of each other in the Munster championship. Tickets are available here.  

6. Cooking wild
