Following the shock news that Trump was elected as the 45th President of the United States, it was announced that fellow controversial star, Katie Hopkins, will make a guest appearance on this weekend’s Late Late Show.
Naturally, not many are impressed.

Pissed off about Katie Hopkins on #LateLate? RTE won’t drop a guest. Best thing is let LLShow advertisers know you’ll boycott their goods.

Call to boycott the @RTELateLateShow Toy Show if Katie Hopkins is on tonight’s show. Vile rascist views not compatible with family viewing

Even Tubs himself is not happy with tonight’s line up.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Tubridy said that he personally didn’t want her on the show, but it was a team decision.
I didn’t personally want her on. It was a team decision. Katie Hopkins does the job, she comes on and expresses an opinion that is contrary and difficult, but it starts a conversation.
Following up to 700 complaints about having Hopkins on the show, RTÉ released the following statement.
Donald Trump’s victory has been one of the biggest political upsets of our time. Donald Trump himself expressed many controversial views during the campaign and is now President Elect.
Katie Hopkins is one of his most vocal supporters in the UK. She’ll be giving her take on why his message resonated with American voters, and her promise to move to America in the event of a Trump victory.
The American election and its aftermath has been and will continue to be covered extensively across a range of RTÉ’s output.
Jaysus.
