Galway is set to get four brand new hotels and six hotel extensions over the next few years.
If everything goes according to plan, more than 600 new hotel rooms will be coming to the city from 2020 onwards, increasing supply by 20%.
Most of the development will be in central locations, according to a new study by Savills Ireland.
Three new hotels on Prospect Hill, the Connaught Laundry site and Spinnaker House have been granted planning permission, while a proposed hotel on Market Street is still waiting for the go-ahead.
Extensions are also planned for Park House, Glen Oaks Hotel, Glenlo Abbey Hotel, Travelodge Galway City, Menlo Park Hotel and The Maldron Hotel on Sandy Road.
All of these, apart from the Maldron, have already got the green light.
Lots of change on the way for Galway so!
