As part of ongoing joint investigations by the Gardai and Revenue targeting drug trafficking in the Meath area, €600,000 worth of herbal cannabis was seized in Meath yesterday afternoon by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Serious Crime Task Force.
Approximately 30kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of €600,000 (pending analysis) was discovered, and male in his thirties was arrested and is currently detained at Finglas Garda Station under the provisions Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drugs Trafficking) Act 1996.
