Heartbreaking news.
Gogglebox Ireland star Angela De La Mere has sadly passed away.
Angela died last week, her family has announced. She was surrounded by her loved ones when she died.
Kite Entertainment led the tributes to Angela.
They wrote, “Everyone at Kite and all who’ve worked on Gogglebox Ireland are saddened by the news that original cast member Angela De La Mere has passed away.
They also extended sympathies to her family, “Sending all our love to her family and her Goggle cohort Eileen. RIP Angela.”
Angela’s family confirmed she died peacefully “in the loving care of her family and the staff of St. Francis Hospice, Raheny”.
Gogglebox viewers paid tribute to Angela.
One said, “RIP Angela, may you rest in peace. We enjoyed watching you and Eileen on Gogglebox….you have a real twinkle in your eye. You are missed by many. Condolences to all who loved and miss Angela.”
Another added, “I’m so sad to hear this! We bumped into Angela and Eileen in a hotel in Wexford a few years ago and they were so happy to chat and have photos taken. They were having a ball. A lovely lady. Sympathy to all her family and friends.”
“Angela lit up the screen with her beaming smile and her mischievous laugh. She was a real lady with the kindest heart and she will be so missed by the many who love her,” another wrote.
