Helplink free counselling service

Helplink is offering free counselling services to help ease the pressure of the current situation.

Helplink Mental Health, a registered mental health charity is offering free counselling services to all those who have been affected by the circumstances brought about by Covid-19 – particularly workers who have been laid off as a result of the current situation.

Emphasising the importance of looking after all aspects of our health, the charity notes that a changing work environment can take a toll on mental health.  Anyone struggling with their emotional wellbeing at the moment is encouraged to reach out and avail of Helplink’s free counselling services.

Based on the Headford Road in Galway, Helplink has been providing mental health services locally, nationally and internationally for seven years. Available seven days a week, the service can be accessed via a free app downloaded straight to your smartphone/laptop/PC/iPod/tablet etc.

Some of the specialised services on offer include:
  • Free counselling for people laid off work by the COVID 19 crisis (6 sessions)
  • Free counselling for people with addictions to gambling, alcohol and/or drugs
  • Free counselling for Irish returning home
  • Free counselling for Irish living abroad
  • Helplink has also lowered their already discounted counselling service, reducing it from €30 to €20 for full-time and part-time students, part-time workers, single parents and anyone in receipt of a social protection payment.
