Here’s Where To Find A List Of Areas Without Power During Storm Eleanor

Darragh Berry

According to RTÉ, around 27,000 homes and businesses throughout the country are still without power on Wednesday morning (9am) after damage caused by Storm Eleanor.

Mayo was one of the worse areas affected with nearly 10,000 homes in the green and red county left without power overnight.

Other areas badly affected were: Galway, Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan and Monaghan and in total, around 150,000 customers experienced some loss of supply Tuesday evening.

ESB are currently updating people about power outages around the country on their power check page website which is also available in an app form on your phone.

Updates on the website are split into three different sections: Fault, Planned Service Interruptions and Cluster of Service Interruptions.

Areas in the Cluster of Service Interruptions are marked with a blue plus sign and when you click on the sign, it then zooms into a specific area where further blue plus signs are present.

Clicking on these signs tells the customer what time that interruption started, the estimated restore time and a service information message which reads:

“We apologise for the loss of supply. We are currently working to repair a fault affecting your premises and will restore power as quickly as possible.”

You can report a power outage using the online system or by calling ESB Networks at 1850 372 999.
