Hopes For A Gig At Slane Castle This Year Have Just Been Crushed

Slane Castle, home to some of the most legendary rock concerts in Ireland since it began hosting music events in 1981 (headlined by Thin Lizzy FYI) has just released some pretty devastating news. 

While acts such as U2, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Guns ‘N Roses, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, David Bowie, Queen and REM have all performed on stage it’s been revealed today that there will be NO concert this summer.

No trudging through the Meath mud and drinking lukewarm beer as you listen to a famed band rocking out. 

Slane Castle itself confirmed the news today via their Twitter…

Lord Henry Mountcharles, owner of Slane Castle, has said there will be no concert this year but is “actively working” on a show for 2018.
