The HSE has marked World No Tobacco Day by warning of the danger of 'roll your own' tobacco.
New research reveals that the number of smokers using manufactured cigarettes is down from 96.5% in 2003 to 75.4% in 2014.
It was also found that smokers under 25 are three times more like to smoke rollies. 45% of smokers under this age prefer to roll their own.
Matina Blake of the HSE said:
From 4% in 2003 to almost a quarter of all smokers smoking roll your own cigarettes in 2014, and we know that roll your own tobacco and all tobacco is very damaging to peoples' health,"
