Ireland Has Rightly Been Nominated For Loads Of World Travel Awards

James Fenton

The nominees for the 2017 World Travel Awards have been announced and Ireland features prominently.

Both Belfast and Dublin have been nominated in Europe’s Leading City Break Destination category while Ireland itself is up for Europe’s Leading Destination.

Spike Island in Cork will be hoping to take home the award for Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction and the Sandymount Hotel in Dublin is up for Europe’s Leading Green Hotel.

We’re even up for a feckin’ island destination award with Inchydoney Island Lodge & Spa listed among the nominees for Europe’s Leading Island Resort.

Finally, the Hilton Belfast is up for Europe’s Leading Meetings and Conference Hotel while the Convention Centre in Dublin has been nominated for Europe’s leading Meetings And Conference Centre.

Surely we take home something from that lot! To be fair, with a collection of scenes like these, it’s easy to see why we’ve been recognised. For the full list of awards and nominess, click here.
