Ireland’s current Green List extended for another week

Rory Cashin

The current Green List will remain in place until October 12th.

Usually, we are given an updated Green List for those travelling from Ireland to other EU nations issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and based on the latest data from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).

However, this week the DFA has stated that the current list will receive no changes.

The current list will of Green List countries, seen below, will remain active until midnight on Sunday, October 11:

  • Cyprus
  • Finland
  • Latvia
  • Liechtenstein

The DFA once again reminds anyone travelling abroad the Green List only applies to those travelling into Ireland, and that there may be different restrictions of movement for those travelling into any of the above countries:

“Inclusion on the list does not imply the absence of any restrictions on arrivals in those countries. The situation will continue to evolve quickly. Citizens who are considering travel to particular locations are advised to monitor news and information from the public authorities in their destination.”

“Any citizens who are considering travel abroad, or those already abroad, are advised to monitor our travel advice, and to download our TravelWise App and follow us on Twitter. They are also advised to register with their local Irish Embassy or Consulate and regularly check their website and Twitter accounts for details of any local public health measures and travel restrictions.”
