Six Irish Food Businesses Ordered To Close In February Over Food Safety Concerns

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) revealed this morning that six Irish businesses were served with closure orders for breaches of food safety legislation for the month of February. 

The businesses were located in Cork (2), Dublin, Tipperary, Kilkenny and Louth and they were: 

  • Hennessy Garden Centre (Closed Area: Hennessy Garden Centre Café), Carlow Road, Gowran, Kilkenny.
  • Flame Street Food Ltd, 38 Washington
    Street, Cork
  • China Kitchen, 14 Market Street, Clonmel, Tipperary
  • Great Wall Chinese
    Restaurant
    , 93 Great William
    O’Brien Street, Blackpool, Cork
  • Apache Pizza, 108 Pearse
    Street, Dublin 2
  • The Carrickdale Hotel (Closed
    Area: Bar area:
    Food area only)
    Carrickarnon, Dundalk, Louth.

The FSAI release a monthly update of closure orders which can be found on their website

Establishments are served closure orders when it is deemed that the place might cause a grave or immediate danger to public health.
