It’s Official – Today Is The Hottest Day In Ireland In 42 Years

It’s a bloody hot one out there today. So hot in fact that if you’re aged 42 or under you will never have experienced a hotter day in this country.

Met Éireann has confirmed that the mercury rose to 32 degrees at Shannon Airport today making it the hottest temperature recorded in Ireland since 1976.

There seems to be no let up on the horizon either with the solar UV index reading ‘very high’ for Friday…

If you haven’t taken the plunge and worn shorts to work this week, tomorrow might be the day to do it. Just tell your boss it’s casual Friday.
