Keep Your Eyes Peeled – The Northern Lights May Be Visible From Ireland Tonight

Alana Laverty

You could be well rewarded for keeping an eye on the north horizon over the next few nights as the Nothern Lights are expected to be visible from Ireland, due to a huge influx of solar radiation from the sun that hit Earth today.

Astronomy Ireland predict that “the whole sky could be ablaze with rays and curtains of dancing aurora, one of the most spectacular sights in nature”.

For anyone in Dublin, Astronomy Ireland have set up some of the most powerful telescopes in Ireland and are inviting members of the public to see the planets, and hopefully the Northern Lights, from 7.30 this evening in their Dublin headquarters in Blanchardstown.

Preeeetttyyyy cool.
