Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp Has Spoken Of His GAA Dream

James Fenton

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was in Dublin over the weekend overseeing his side’s 5-0 friendly victory over Napoli and it seems he caught the Irish sports bug while he was here.

The German has been speaking to the Liverpool Echo about his sporting bucket list and high on his agenda is taking in a hurling or gaelic football match in Ireland.

The 51-year-old told the publication:

“I have to watch hurling in Ireland.

“I also need to go to a Gaelic football match live for sure.

“I have this kind of list and seeing the All Blacks playing rugby is on there too, probably a home game.”

Judging by the reception The Reds received at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, Klopp will be welcome on these shores any time…

Any Limerick or Galway fans got a spare All-Ireland hurling final ticket for a German in need? Didn’t think so.
