A man is being questioned by gardai in Limerick this afternoon in connection with a terrorist attack in London at the weekend.

According to The Limerick Leader, the local resident was taken into custody on the basis of information supplied by UK police.

It’s believed that documents bearing the name of Rachid Redouane, a former Dublin resident who carried out last weekend’s fatal attack, were discovered in the man’s apartment.

It was revealed earlier today that Redouane lived with his wife in Rathmines for several years and worked as a chef in the city.

UPDATE: The man arrested has since been released without charge, and a file is being prepared for the DPP, according to Northern Sound.
