The Big Apple would be a big present for anyone this Christmas.

But imagine coming across flights to New York that could be yours, for as little as €5.

Well, a Mayo GAA club are offering two lucky people the chance to go to New York in May.

Mayo face New York in their opening game of the 2019 Connacht Championship campaign and Ballycastle GAA is raffling off flights and tickets for two people.

The North Mayo club are running the draw to fundraise for the construction of the new clubhouse at their Tom Langan Park home.

The package includes return flights, four night’s accommodation in a New York City hotel and tickets to a fundraising event in the city the night before the game.

A proportion of the monies raised in the New York fundraiser will also be donated to Cystic Fibrosis West, the charity which helps and supports CF patients and their families from around Mayo and the wider western region.

“The fundraising is going well so far,” said Ballycastle GAA Chairman Martin Heffernan this week. “We’re very pleased with the response we’ve got. The tickets are selling well and lots of people are interested in selling tickets.”

You can buy your ticket by following the link here.

A winner will be picked in the first week of January and you can find more details on the Ballycastle GAA Facebook page here.
