Medical Emergency Forces Aer Lingus Flight To Return To Shannon Airport

An Aer Lingus flight was forced to return to Shannon Airport mid-flight today following a medical emergency.

According to The Irish Independent, the plane left the airport at 12.20pm and had been due to land in New York at 3pm US time.

However, it is now returning to the Clare airport after a medical emergency on board.

No other details have been confirmed.
