Met Éireann has issued a nationwide weather advisory as temperatures look set to plummet over the coming days.
Some nights this week are expected to see temperatures drop to as low as minus four degrees and Met Éireann has now issued an official weather advisory which will be valid from 4pm on Wednesday until 11.59pm on Friday.
The advisory says: “Much colder for the rest of the week, with sharp to severe frosts and icy stretches. Some wintry showers too,” so if you don’t need to go outside it might be best to have a duvet day.
