New Figures Reveal Average Weekly Wage Of Irish Workers

The Central Statistics Office has released new figures which reveal the average weekly wage of Irish workers. The findings reveal that Irish people are earned more on average from February to April of this year than for the same period in 2016.

We took home €723.08 on average for Q1 of 2017 which is up 1.4% from Q1 in 2016 when people took home € 713.41. 

Other points to note are:

– Average hourly earnings increased by 0.7% between Q1 2016 and Q1 2017, rising from €22.52 to €22.68 

– Average weekly paid hours were 31.9 in Q1 2017, an increase of 0.6% in paid hours from -Q1 2016

– Average hourly total labour costs were €26.20 in the first quarter of 2017, a rise of 0.8% from the value of €26.00 one year previous

– Seasonally adjusted average weekly earnings in Q1 2017 were €716.88, an increase of 0.4% from the previous quarter
