One Of Ireland's Busiest Stretch Of Motorway Is Closed At Both Directions

Worth taking note of if you're travelling today.

Gardaí have closed the M8 southbound and northbound at Junction 11 following two separate collisions on Tuesday morning.

According to The Tipperary Star, the collisions happened shortly after 6:30am this morning with one taking place in the northbound carriage and the other in the southbound carriage.

Emergency services are at the scene.

The collisions are down to weather conditions of snow and ice which became lethal on the road and left a number of routes, impassable.

Southbound motorists are being asked to divert at Junction 10, while northbound motorists are diverting at Junction 11.

Motorists are advised to check AA Roadwatch before setting out on their journeys this morning as road conditions are dodgy in Munster, Offaly and parts of Dublin.

Be careful out there, folks.
