PICS: A Local Irish Gaelic Football Club Is Raffling Off A Four-Bed House For Just €100

Darragh Berry

You know how you’ve been saving up money and sacrificing weekend upon weekend to help build that deposit for a house? Well, how would you feel about entering that money in a raffle to get multiple tickets, giving you a chance to win a house worth €280,000?

No, don’t click out, this is actually a real competition.

A GAA club in Louth is offering people the chance of a life time as their top prize in their fundraising raffle is a house.

St. Fechin’s GAA Football Club from the village of Termonfeckin, officially launched its Win A Feckin House campaign, with all funds raised going towards the building of a community centre.

How did they manage to get the house as a prize, we hear you ask? Great question.

They worked in tangent with a local developer in order to secure a house as part of the village’s Castle Park Development.

To be honest, reading the description of the house makes us want to buy at least three tickets immediately…maybe four.

“The picturesque village of Termonfeckin is within easy walking distance of all local amenities including primary school, shops, pubs and restaurants and less than 5 minutes from miles of safe sandy beaches and the 2 championship links golf courses at Seapoint and Baltray.

M1 interchange and Drogheda town are within a 10 minute drive of the development.

“Castle Park is a new development of ‘ A’ rated 3 and 4 bedroom family homes situated in the village of Termonfeckin, Co. Louth. These top quality homes from Meegan Builders (Castleblaney) Ltd, come to the market with a turnkey all in package and carrying the coveted ‘ A’ rated energy efficiency tag.

The state of the art fit out included a choice of superb fitted kitchen and appliances, fully tiled bathrooms with heated towel rails as standard, tiling and flooring throughout the ground floor, fitted wardrobes in bedrooms, and gardens landscaped front and rear with cobblelock driveway and patio.”

The draw is not for ages away yet, however, and will be held in the Westcourt Hotel in Drogheda on 30 December 2018.

In order to get your name in the hat, all you have to do is enter your contact details, buy a ticket which is worth €100 and cross your fingers.

Tickets can be purchased on their website and more information on the campaign can be found on their Facebook.
