REVEALED: The Jobs Sector With Most Vacancies For Graduates In Ireland Right Now

Decision-time is coming to an end as Irish Leaving Cert students all over the country prepare for the CAO application deadline tomorrow.

With this in mind, Irishjobs.ie has released the five sectors with the most job vacancies for graduates in Ireland at the moment. 

It will come as no surprise that the finance sector is topping the list when it comes to job opportunities, with vacancies in banking, financial and insurance sectors most plentiful. 

The accountancy and finance sector came in second, closely followed by IT in the third spot. 

Building and construction is another good bet, with engineering and utilities coming in fourth place and the top five rounded out with construction, architecture and property sectors. 

Commenting on the data, Orla Moran, General Manager at IrishJobs.ie told the Irish Times that the availability of graduate roles in these sectors "reflected the old and new strengths of Ireland’s economy."

She went on: "Ireland is increasingly regarded as a European hub for financial services. We are a world leader in fund administration and aircraft leasing, and a growing insurance and fintech player."
