Users of the popular banking app Revolut have reported issues when trying to access their accounts when on mobile devices.

The issues started at around lunchtime today with many users still having problems.

One Twitter user shared a screenshot showing the difficulty she had when trying to sign in, writing, “It’s prompting me for my mobile number, asking me to enter my passcode, taking a long time to load and then saying something has gone wrong please try later”.

Revolut has since commented on the issue.

They wrote on Twitter earlier today, “We’re having a technical issue which is stopping some of our customers from logging into the app. Card payments and ATM withdrawals are working as normal. Our engineers are on the case, and we’ll keep you updated. We’re really sorry for the trouble.”

As users still faced the issue a couple of hours later, Revolut updated customers, writing, “We’re still working to fix the issue. Again, we really do appreciate your patience, and we are all working incredibly hard to get the app fully up and running again.”

When one user expressed their concerns over the safety of their funds, the company replied, “The money is safe. Some features might be unavailable right now due to the amount of people trying to access it. We will update the status page once it’s fixed.”

The company also provided a link where users can track the progress of the fixture. The page also details which features are currently having problems.

While Revolut customers can still pay with their card and withdraw cash from ATMs, they are currently unable to top-up their accounts, transfer money to other accounts and sign in to their account.
