It feels like years since talk of McGregor v Mayweather kicked off but it looks like we FINALLY have a date.
Reports this evening suggest that Floyd Mayweather has now booked the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on August 26 for his head-to-head with MMA star McGregor.
The news comes after McGregor teased a major announcement on Instagram, posting an image with the caption 'something big is coming #BP'.
Speaking to GQ Style earlier this year, McGregor revealed that he was still eager to go toe-to-toe with Mayweather and fancied his chances in the ring.
"We're talking about boxing. That's it. But again, age waits for no man. He's 40 years of age. He's a little…he's got a little head on him. Honestly, my fist is bigger than his head. I sleep people. I put people unconscious. I'm stating facts. If I hit that man, his head is gonna go into the bleachers. You understand that? If I crack that little head of his, it's gonna go clean off his shoulders and up into the bleachers.”
Reckon he's got a shot? Let us know in the comments...
