Rory McIlroy Tricked Us All Into Believing He Got Married On A Different Day

Rory McIlroy and Erica Stoll’s wedding in April was by far the most high-profile ceremony of 2017 so far. 

The great and the good of the sporting, music and movie worlds descended onto Cong in Co. Mayo to help the golfer celebrate his nuptials.

However, it turns out Rory and his new bride pulled the wool over everyone eyes by giving us all the wrong wedding date.

While the heavily-guarded affair was thought to have taken place on Saturday April 22, an Irish Mail on Sunday reporter has managed to get a glimpse of the wedding certificate which states that Rory and Erica in fact got married on Friday April 21. 

So there we were, sitting in work while the wedding of the year was taking place right under our noses. 

This shocking act of deceit is only made worse by the fact that our invitation got lost in the post. Nice one, Rory. Nice one, Erica.
