Day 3, still no signs of freedom.
If you’re waking up in parts of Leinster, Munster or in the county of Galway, it will be no news to you that a lot of snow has fallen overnight.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Red Snow-ice Warning for Munster, Leinster and Galway on Friday morning and they expect that snowfall will continue today across Munster, Leinster and Galway in strong easterly winds.
The warning is in place immediately until 6pm on Friday evening.
Counties that were on a Status Red Snow-ice Warning have been downgraded to an Orange warning with Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo all to receive scattered heavy snow showers and icy conditions during Friday.
That too is also in place until 6pm on Friday evening.
Stay safe out there today, folks.
