Supervalu Customers Are Being Warned Over A New Text Message Scam That's Doing The Rounds

If you get a message like this, don't open it

Phone Scam

Supervalu customers are being urged to watch out for a text message scam that’s been going around.

People have been in touch with the supermarket chain after receiving fake text messages claiming to offer prizes in exchange for clicking on a link or filling out a survey.

It’s thought to be a phishing scam which will steal people’s private information when they follow the instructions in the text.

They tweeted, ‘We want to issue a warning after receiving reports from members of the public of a text message scam that claims to offer prizes by asking them to click on a link and take a survey or by sharing personal data.

‘This has NOT been issued by SuperValu and we advise to delete the text message if you have received it as it is a phishing scam.

‘SuperValu never sends out competitions or data requests by text, so please be vigilant and delete the text if you have received it.’
