Darragh Berry

Lidl, Tesco and Iceland have issued an urgent recall following a warning that these products may contain traces of harmful bacteria.

They have pulled bags of own brand frozen vegetables over fears that they could contain deadly listeria bacteria.

This is extremely harmful to people especially elderly and pregnant women and babies.

It can lead to bacterial meningitis also.

All the products involved in the recall by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland are made by Belgian firm Greenyard Frozen UK.

If these products are in your home, it is recommended that you bring it back to your nearest store where you can avail of a refund or a replacement of the product.
