The Living Wage In Ireland Has Increased

Alana Laverty

The 2017 living wage has increased by 20 cent to €11.70 from €11.50 in 2016, reports Journal.ie

Determined by the Living Wage Technical Group, changes in the cost of living, the current housing crisis, increases in rent levels and changes in the taxation system in the last year have led to this 20 cent increase.

Fortunately, the Living Wage Technical Group report that the cost of clothing, household goods and food and health insurance all decreased in 2017.
