National Lottery has warned the Irish public about a scam which involves a con artist phoning unsuspecting people and offering them free plays in the Euromillions.
They told the Journal.ie that:
“We have become aware through social media and other channels about such calls which appear to have escalated in the last few days as the EuroMillions Jackpot hits €50 million,” a spokesperson said today.
“We would like to reassure our players, and members of the public, that this activity has nothing to do with the National Lottery, and we would advise caution.”
