This Is What Most Irish People Want For Christmas – And It’s Not What You’d Think

Our favourite time of the year is just around the corner, and a new survey has revealed what Irish people really want for Christmas.

For some it’s the latest iPhone or trendiest pair of runners, but ‘more time to relax over the festive period’ was number one on the Santy list for 18% of respondents.

After long working days, shopping scrambles, nights out and family visits up and down the country, it seems the public crave nothing more than staying in and putting their feet up.

Dreams of a winter wonderland weren’t far behind either, with 15% hoping to wake up to a White Christmas.

The survey, which was carried out by One4All, also revealed that 42% of Irish adults are happier now than they were this time last year.

Eight out of ten respondents said seeing family and friends was their main reason for feeling cheerful over the holidays.

Aww, yiz big softies!
