Don’t panic okay, but turns out that those cosy leather seats on your airplane that you love to settle into and read your magazine in the sky?
Apparently most of them are absolutely FILTHY.
Turns out that the majority of airline’s seating are pure germbags, a petri dish of sorts, and that with most short haul flights having quick turnaround times, flight staff often only have time to clear obvious rubbish, restock supplies, and wipe crumbs off a few seats.
And despite what you would hope, the waste tanks aren’t usually emptied between flights… It all depends on the capacity of a tank, but with an A380 able to carry 554 gallons of human waste, it defo isn’t getting emptied as often as you’d like.
If you think your plane has been recently deep-cleaned, think again: event the 9th cleanest airline in the world only does a full clean every 30 days.
Just THINK of all those sweaty bums that have been on your seat?…
We recommend carrying some sanitiser wipes and gel just to be safe…
